Synopsis
Just like in Romeo and Juliette, two noble families are at loggerheads, the Soplica, Russian allies, and the Horeszko, partisans of independence. The little story of a bell gets mixed up with the big story of Napoleon marching on Moscow. Tadeusz, Soplica and many others will leave with the Grand Army to fight the Moscovites and free Poland. They’ll return wearing the mantle of glory and honour.
